Alonza Fraser letter, 8 July 1852.

Letter written from Alonza Fraser in Charleston to his brother Samuel Fraser in Georgetown describing an incident at Castle Pinckney where a cannon backfired and killed a young man while wounding several others. The incident was related to a Fourth of July celebration. Item is in stable condition with a number of weak seams.
